Job Summary

The Fitts Company manufactures a diverse range of products that includes exterior signage, interior signage, ATM surrounds, ATM buildings, ATM canopies, modular branch bank interiors, motor home coaches and other specialty items. We offer complete project management of small and large scale projects. Our services include site surveys, signage design packages, permitting, landlord approvals, drawing approvals, 3D solids modeling, engineering, order processing, shipping, installation of products and project close out.

The position of the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting all aspects of project management involving planning, scheduling, developing, organizing, coordinating and conducting activities to ensure that policies, processes and program elements are integrated, documented and achieve success. Working under direct supervision of the EVP – Project Manager to ensure projects and technical performance objectives are met in accordance with mission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing.
  • Develops, manages and continually optimizes detailed plans for cross-functional projects.
  • Understands capital budgeting process, applies optimal estimating, develops resource management plans and manages projects to budget, including impacts to budget from change control items.
  • Develops quality metrics/ plans and inspects/ measures deliverables against quality standards.
  • Develops summary and detailed project progress reports, for both a technical and business audience, on a routine and/or ad-hoc basis
  • Develops resource estimates/ management plans and matches skill sets with deliverables to effectively coordinate work activities of business and design resources.
  • Uses established methodologies to develop plans referencing all key planning input components and monitors work progress against plan to report, correct and track variances.
  • Is aware of available vendors, assists RFP development and issuance, understands standard terms/ conditions/ applicability of various contract types, reconciles vendor invoices against deliverables, provides feedback on vendor performance and resolves routine issues.
  • Develops and proactively manages detailed issues and risk management plans, reflects contingencies and related required efforts in schedules and routinely reports progress.
  • Uses established methodologies, referencing all key scope planning input components to develop detailed scope management plans including a scope aligned supported by change control procedures and conducts client walkthroughs to validate scope.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years of technical experience in sales support.
  • Two to five years of experience in Project Management.
  • Two to five years of experience managing multiple, diverse, and complex suite of projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience in all major functions, issues and considerations of the subject matter.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with establishing standards, policies strategies and best practices.
  • Ability to discuss industry/ marketplace trends and directions and site relevant case studies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects/ project teams.
  • Microsoft Office experience with a full proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and on-time delivery of work deliverables/activities are critical.
  • Must be highly motivated with proven organizational, time management, planning and prioritizing skills within the demands of a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
